早前分享了正在改裝32吋望遠鏡桁架，升級後的結構昨晚正式投入使用，參與一場小學天文學會的觀星活動。使用這台香港最大口徑望遠鏡，我們能觀察到更豐富的月球表面細節，從沒試過花了整整兩個小時，就是與參與的同學們興致勃勃地探索各種月面特徵。先以 Ethos 21 目鏡 130× 觀看整個滿月，接著使用 Ethos 8 目鏡 350× 看"眼鏡蛇"亞里斯塔克斯隕石坑與施羅特谷、"西瓜蒂"第谷坑，以及月球北極區域。看到孩子們臉上洋溢的笑容，實在令人感到無比滿足。Shared earlier we I were modifying the truss tubes of my 32" Dob, the upgraded structure was put into operation last night for a primary school astronomy club stargazing event. With this telescope being the largest of Hong Kong, we can observe the Moon in far greater detail. We had never spent a full two hours just enthusiastically exploring various lunar features with the participating students. Starting with the full disk using an Ethos 21 eyepiece at 130×, then moving to the "Cobra Head” (Aristarchus Crater and Schröter’s Valley), Tycho Crater, and the north pole region with an Ethos 8 at 350×. It was incredibly satisfying to see the children's happy faces.
